Jacob Nielsen
Starting Out
Jacob Nielsen found his way into DJing more than 10 years ago, performing under the name SORT SIND. From the very beginning, he was drawn to the darker and more hypnotic side of techno, and this passion took him onto stages in Copenhagen and across Europe. Along the way, he shared line-ups with big international artists, but just as importantly, he learned the value of music as a way to connect people and create shared experiences.
The Performer
While Jacob is known for his deep techno sets, his love for music goes far beyond one genre. His knowledge spans from Brazilian disco and funk to house, jazz, and timeless classics. This wide musical background has allowed him to play everywhere from underground clubs to large company events – and even afterparties for world stars like Madonna, Pet Shop Boys and Post Malone. For Jacob, no crowd is too big or too small, as long as there’s music to bring people together.
The Teacher
What makes Jacob a great mentor is his calm and caring way of teaching. He knows that DJing is not only about technique but also about confidence, creativity, and the joy of sharing music. His goal is to create a safe and inspiring space where kids can explore their curiosity, learn real skills, and find their own voice as DJs. With patience and encouragement, Jacob makes sure every student feels included and supported, no matter their level or experience.
Sharing the Joy
For Jacob, DJing has always been about more than just playing records – it’s about creating moments, atmospheres, and community. That is the feeling he wants to pass on to the next generation. Whether it’s teaching kids how to mix for the first time or helping a young DJ discover their unique style, Jacob believes in making music fun, accessible, and full of possibility.
