Meet Rasmus Lützen, the visionary founder of DJ Academy and the driving force behind its mission to empower the next generation of DJs. Rasmus is not just an entrepreneur; he's a DJ through and through.
A Lifelong Passion for Music
His love for music led him to invest all the money his parents had saved for him into a pair of Technics 1210 turntables and a Technics SH-DJ1200 DJ mixer. While his parents might have been initially disappointed, the investment paid off, shaping Rasmus into the DJ and entrepreneur he is today.
A Global Journey
Rasmus has been spinning records ever since he could get his hands on vinyl. His journey took him from Denmark to Australia and Brazil, gaining invaluable experiences and insights into the global music scene. In 2009, he founded LYDUDLEJNING.net, a successful audio rental business that now powers DJ Academy and the YouTube channel LYD
The Heart of the Kids' Class
When it comes to teaching, Rasmus brings a unique blend of experience and passion to the table. He's especially excited about teaching the kids' class, where he aims to ignite the same spark in young minds that set him on his path years ago. Meet Simon Hede, the co-founder of DJ Academy and a seasoned instructor who also specializes in teaching the kids' class. Simon's love for DJing ignited at the young age of 14, when he earned his "DJ license" at his local youth club.

This early exposure to the art of DJing has given him a unique perspective on how to engage and inspire young minds. But Simon's passion for youth development isn't confined to the DJ booth; he has also been a dedicated football trainer for young athletes for many years.
A Veteran of the Scene
With a career spanning over two decades, Simon is a veteran in clubs and bars, and he brings this wealth of experience to the classroom. He was also a key figure at 4 Sound, a once-iconic music shop in Copenhagen, adding another layer to his expertise.
The Kids' Class Philosophy
As a kids' instructor, Simon combines his technical skills with a nurturing approach. He believes in creating a comfortable and fun learning environment where young DJs can explore, think creatively, and build confidence.

Meet Lucas Margutti, our go-to guy for all things visual! With a knack for capturing the perfect shot and a resume that reads like a Netflix Brazil Top 10 list, Lucas is the creative genius we're lucky to have on our team.
The Streaming Sensation
Lucas isn't just any director; he's a streaming superstar! With more than 2.5 million transactions via remote control (yes, you read that right!), he's the Brazilian director with the most views in the streaming world. Not sure what VOD (Video On Demand) and TVOD (Transactional Video On Demand) are? Well, they're fancy terms for saying Lucas knows how to make content people are willing to pay to watch. He's released 17 films in the last four years, each raking in around BRL 3 million. And guess what? They've all been among the top 3 most-watched on Netflix Brazil, even making it to the platform's top 10!
The Jack of All Trades
Lucas is a man of many talents. He studied film at university and has dabbled in everything from acting to post-production. With two decades of experience, he's directed major TV shows for channels like GNT, Multishow, Gloob, TLC, and MTV. He's even worked as an editor for the Big Brother Brazil show and currently directs campaigns for Globo programs.

When he's not behind the camera, Lucas is conquering the digital world. He's managed popular internet channels like "Irmãos Neto" and the OI gaming channel "Final Level."

Lucas also has a flair for storytelling. He's written, produced, directed, and edited short and feature films, including the acclaimed short film "Pcycle" and the documentary "9714-98 Penas Alternativas," both of which have been featured in major festivals worldwide. So, whether it's capturing the perfect shot or crafting a compelling narrative, Lucas is the creative powerhouse we're thrilled to have at DJ Academy.
