MARCUS VOIGT aka. ENTERTHEVOIGT

Starting Out 

At the age of 14, Marcus Voigt started out as a Reggae and Dancehall DJ in the Clash-winning Sound "Looney Tunes." Starting out in a small but dedicated underground music scene taught the young DJ the importance of community and the sharing of knowledge. Later on, he fell in love with a more straightforward four-to-the-floor disco & house vibe. He started playing residencies all over the city at both underground parties, bars, and nightclubs. To this day, you will still find Enterthevoigt in line-ups around town. 

The Promoter 

With an education as an Event Coordinator, Marcus has always functioned as a promoter and event maker alongside his DJ path. Putting on parties has always gone hand in hand with DJ'ing. You can book your heroes, friends, and even more importantly, yourself. Together with his DJ and Event collective 21G, Marcus creates spaces for people to experience the power of music and togetherness. 

The Teacher 

With a diverse background in creative project management, craftsmanship, culture, and education, he has developed a strong understanding of the importance of creating a stimulating learning environment. 

This includes his experience as a teaching assistant, an English teacher in Vietnam, and as a coach in personal leadership for teens. His ability to adapt to different ages, subject areas, and learning needs enables him to create a fun and educational learning experience for kids of all skills and attention spans. He believes that a positive and supportive approach to teaching is crucial in motivating students to learn and grow. He strives to create an inclusive and respectful classroom environment where all students feel safe and valued. 

Broadcasting and Sharing 

Enterthevoigt believes in sharing music, knowledge, and skills. He hosted his own monthly radio show "Under Solen," in which he guides the listener through the underlying themes to all the best music around. At the moment, he is interviewing local DJs about their style and journey in the scene, collecting vibes, tips, and tricks for new DJs to gain from. The show "Ding Dong DJ" will air in the summer of 2024.
